What is CDAP?
CDAP (Canada Digital Adoption Plan) was launched in 2022 by the Canadian Federal Government to support small & medium-sized businesses in digitally transforming their businesses. The program provides funding for digital solutions to improve the working technology and infrastructure of your business by adopting the right systems and streamlining your processes.
CDAP is a federal grant program that is available for 4 years, and as a Certified Digital Advisor, we provide support with Stream 2 of the program: the Boost Your Business Technology stream.

A closer look at Boost Your Business Technology Grant
The Boost Your Business Technology stream, or Stream 2, is eligible for businesses that meet the following preliminary criteria:

A for-profit Canadian SME with annual revenues between $500,000 and $100,000,000

A sole proprietor whose owner is a Canadian resident or an incorporated business

A Canadian-controlled Private Corporation (CCPC) as defined by the Canada Revenue Agency and is privately owned

Have between 1 – 499 employees

A business that respects human rights codes, labor, environment, and anti-corruption standards
Businesses that get approved for Stream 2 are eligible for grants of up to 15,000 CAD to help create a Digital Adoption Plan. Additionally, they can get access to a zero-interest loan through the BDC (up to $100,000 per loan) to put your plan into action, as well as to subsidize youth work placements.

HOW MUCH MONEY IS THE CDAP GRANT?The grant portion of the CDAP is up to $15,000, and covers for up to 90% of the eligible digital advisory work. The client, you, is responsible for paying 10% of the grant up front to the Digital Advising company. The total project amount typically is $17,000 or higher, and upon completion of Digital Adoption Plan, you will need to submit both the invoices for project payments, and a copy of the Digital Adoption Plan on the CDAP portal for reimbursement up to $15,000.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR CDAP?The best way to become part of the CDAP program is to prequalify your business in advance to make sure you will qualify for the program itself. You can prequalify on our website HERE and a representative from Progress Tech will be in touch to gather more information from you.

WHICH BUSINESSES ARE ELIGIBLE FOR CDAP?Any business that is incorporated, has at least one employee and also has made at least $500,000 in revenue at least one time over the last 3 years.

WHEN DOES THE CDAP PROGRAM END?The CDAP program is a 4 year program developed by the Canadian Government and facilitated by BDC. The program began in 2022 so it is logical to think it will be over by 2026 however the program is so successful that there is always a chance that they will extend the program.
